Tshwane Rise District Meeting: 13 February 2016
On Saturday 13th February a district meeting for all Rise clubs in Tshwane was held – (representing clubs from Garankuwa, Winterveld, Olievenhoutbosch, Hammanskraal and Attridgeville. We had 400 girls attending . The meeting took place at a Special school in Soshanguve Filadelfia Special school.
RYWC from Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape embarked on a “Back-to-School campaign on 15th February 2016
On the 15 February 2016, three clubs from Walter Cingo and Mampondo junior Secondary schools came together for another Back to School campaign at Walter Cingo Junior Secondary School in Flagstaff, Eastern Cape.

On the 12 February 2016, four clubs from three different schools came together to host a back to school campaign to encourage young girls to focus on their studies this year (2016). More than 300 young people attended the event.
Mange Primary School - Soul Buddyz travel to Pongola
Both Soul Buddyz clubs were awarded with trophies and certificates for attending the Soul buddyz National Congress at Kimberley. These Soul Buddyz clubs get support from the school management team, School Governing Body, staff and community stakeholders.
Rise Young Women's Clubs from Ekurhuleni (Gauteng) district meeting
On Saturday 6th February 2016 the 32 Rise Young Womens Clubs from Ekurhuleni (Gauteng) held its District Meeting at the DH William Hall, Katlehong.

Kwanele
Launched in July 2015, Kwanele is a five-year pilot programme working in 20 schools in Khayelitsha township in South Africa to decrease the high level of gender-based and sexual violence in schools, and ensure a safe learning environment for girls. The programme is implemented by the Soul City Institute for Health and Development Communication (SCI) in partnership with Grassroot Soccer South Africa (GRS), with support from Comic Relief, as part of the Sexual Violence in Schools in South Africa (SeVissa) initiative.
