Themba has experienced film, television and theatre acting in equal measure. At this stage he has not chosen to specialise as they all give expression to his performance ability and versatility.

You would have seen this young actor in films like High Voltage, Running Wild, Panic Mechanic, Cry the Beloved Country and Under African Skies.

In the television series Flat 27, Going Up and Generations he has played a lead role and also presented Teleschool. Thema’s theatre credits include Julius Caesar, You Fool, How Can the Sky Fall as well as some industrial theatre productions.


This multi-lingual talent combines her energetic spirit with singing, dancing, volley ball and soccer. She has already proven her abilities on the stage with performances in Thespian, Gomorrah, Black Age, Broken Dreams, Maru, Dance of Death and Lullaby. She has played supporting roles in Gaz’ Lam I, II and III as well as Zero Tolerance II.


Mbalenhle is an enthusiastic 21 year old, currently studying towards a BA degree at Wits University.

Fluent in both English and Zulu she started her career in television with a support performance in in 2006, progressing to a lead role in Tshisa in 2006, and featured in Ringo’s music video in 2007.


With his Bachelor of Dramatic Arts (Film and Television) Wandile has appeared in commercials of some of the best known brands such as KFC, Wimpy and Kelloggs. On the stage he has featured in Mamaptile and Romeo and Juliet, while his television experience includes major roles in Life is Wild, Rhythm City, E.R, Soul Buddyz and Seduction 101.

Wandile also played Modise in the SABC 1 production When We Were Black which won the best ensemble cast at the 2007 South African Film and Television awards.

Making it on the silver screen, Wandile played Tshepo, the lead in Gothic Caper and also starred in The Ruin and Born Free 2. He is musically talented and will impress with percussion, singing and rapping.


Growing up with the township rhythms of Nutzuma, north of Durban, Zuluboy was destined for a career in music.

Choosing to hone his skill on hip hop, he soon topped the charts on Metro FM’s unsigned top ten artists with Mamghobozi, his unreleased single.

His popularity grew and he was only one of 17 artists to perform at the First African Hip-Hop Summit in 2005. This stunning performance earned him a spot at the Global Hip Hop Mainstage Concert, in Vancouver, Canada in 2006.

Later that year, Zuluboy released his debut album Masihambisane – Da 1st Hip-Hop Lesson. You can find his second album, iNqolobane in local music stores if you haven’t seen him at Macufe, Oppikoppi, the Soweto Festival or Arts Alive where he is a regular performer.

A cultural ambassador, he is also an educator on social issues, such as HIV/Aids, poverty and unemployment.


Lillian Dube is one of the most outstanding and distinguished actresses in the country. She’s been in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years and has appeared in television, films and theatre.

She has been honoured with awards like Astera Award for best actress in drama as well as Life Time Achiever Award which she received in 2004. Lillian has appeared in Curl Up and Dye which toured Scotland and Germany. She has appeared in films like Cry the Beloved Country, African Skies. She is best known for her portrayal of Sister Bettina in Soul City, other television appearances include Generations, Soul Buddyz and Mponeng to mention a few.


James has made his mark on the South African acting circuit, having played a variety of roles in theatre, TV and film. His theatre performances included both local and international productions. Here at home he has performed in The Suitcase, Good Vibrations, Cantina Tequila, Five Guys named Mo, Cinders and her Fella to name a few. He took part in the UK touring production of Cheery Orchard Trofimov and performed in Happy Natives in London’s Soho Theatre.

His film credits include Red Dust, I Dreamed of Africa and Man-to-Man. With awards like the 1997 Vita Award for Best Actor in La Cage Aux Folles and a substantial list of nominations, from supporting actor to director, there’s no doubt that James is a highly sought after cast member.


With a stage career that reads like a shopping list, David has performed in most South African plays among them, Wizard of Oz, As You Like It, A Man for All Seasons, Sweeney Todd, Macbeth, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Merry Widow, Much Ado About Nothing and the Rocky Horror Show.

He has also made his mark on the television circuit playing Sol in Soul City, series 3 to 7 as well as Soul Buddyz, series 1 to 3. David has played a variety of roles in other productions like Isidingo, Gong Up, Justice for All and Thetha Msawawa.

His film credits include Red Dust, Desert Diners, Krakatoa and Coup! An impressive collection of awards attest to his talent and include the Dalro Best Actor in a Musical award for his role as Riff Raff (Rocky Horror: 1994), the Vita Best Performance Musical (1988) for his role as Frank ‘n Furter in the Rocky Horror Show, and the Fleur Du Cap Best Actor, Supporting Role (2003) for his performance in Two Gentlemen of Verona.


This versatile young star is a model, voice over artist, and sports enthusiast. Stepping right into TV adverts for the likes of Cuthberts, Tex chocolate bar and Shoprite she has also appeared, larger than life, on an Omo billboard.

With a solid grounding in Zulu, her home language, her fluency in English and Sotho has seen her well-equipped for roles in SABC’s School TV, Fundanani, Takalani Sesame, Nazi Stories and Soul Buddyz.

When she is not modelling or acting you will find her energetically chasing around the netball field.
