Advocacy Campaign

In dealing with trauma, Soul City is aware that the greatest cause of death and injury for children between 8 and 12 years old is road-related trauma.

Two road safety advocacy campaigns were conducted together with Drive Alive.

Reflector campaign to increase visibility of children to motorists.

  1. Thanks to the generosity of BP, Soul Buddyz developed a "have to wear" reflector band, and ran competitions to encourage children to wear them. An ongoing advocacy campaign has also been mounted to get reflector material integrated into school uniforms.
  2. To get Scholar patrols into every primary school in the country.
