Job purpose
Plan and conduct training workshops and support the Master Trainer in delivering training and implementing the programme.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate all programme trainings and compile training reports.
- Conduct partner training as requested by the organisation.
- Assist with training planning, preparation, and delivery as needed.
- Provide feedback, reports, and reconcile training-related finances.
- Maintain a database of trained facilitators and stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate training at facilitator and community level.
- Conduct quality assurance for all training sessions.
- Contribute to project annual and close-out reports.
- Offer technical support to partners to ensure high-quality training, fidelity to programme delivery, and data integrity.
Financial management
- Support budgeting for training in consultation with the Master Trainer.
- Handle invoices and coordinate timely payments.
- Track spending, analyse variances, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare expenditure projections when needed.
- Comply with financial and procurement policies.
Human resources management
- Take responsibility for all assigned duties and deliverables.
- Identify personal training needs to improve performance.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture.
- Comply with all HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant diploma or degree in education/training.
- At least 3 years’ experience in education, training, and project management.
- Strong experience as a trainer.
Competencies
- Effective facilitation skills and understanding of group dynamics.
- Solid project management knowledge and experience.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills in English and other South African languages.
- Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interpret data.
- Good report writing skills and multitasking ability.
- Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
- Willingness to travel outside Johannesburg.
