Training Facilitator (x1) – Parktown Office

Job purpose

Plan and conduct training workshops and support the Master Trainer in delivering training and implementing the programme.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate all programme trainings and compile training reports.
  • Conduct partner training as requested by the organisation.
  • Assist with training planning, preparation, and delivery as needed.
  • Provide feedback, reports, and reconcile training-related finances.
  • Maintain a database of trained facilitators and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate training at facilitator and community level.
  • Conduct quality assurance for all training sessions.
  • Contribute to project annual and close-out reports.
  • Offer technical support to partners to ensure high-quality training, fidelity to programme delivery, and data integrity.

Financial management

  • Support budgeting for training in consultation with the Master Trainer.
  • Handle invoices and coordinate timely payments.
  • Track spending, analyse variances, and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Prepare expenditure projections when needed.
  • Comply with financial and procurement policies.

Human resources management

  • Take responsibility for all assigned duties and deliverables.
  • Identify personal training needs to improve performance.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture.
  • Comply with all HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant diploma or degree in education/training.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in education, training, and project management.
  • Strong experience as a trainer.

Competencies

  • Effective facilitation skills and understanding of group dynamics.
  • Solid project management knowledge and experience.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and other South African languages.
  • Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interpret data.
  • Good report writing skills and multitasking ability.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport.
  • Willingness to travel outside Johannesburg.
