Soul City TB Formative Research
This formative research was conducted by the Soul City Institute to obtain insight into knowledge, beliefs, perceptions, attitudes and practices relating to TB among the general public and specific populations affected by TB, including people living with HIV (PLHIV), people with TB and directly-observed treatment observers (DOTS).
The Soul City process also involved a literature review and consultations with topic experts in addition to finding the experiences of ordinary people and understanding of issues relating to TB.
The research would provide input for further development of the next phase of messaging to promote messaging around TB for South African audiences as part of the Soul City drama series.
