Fezile Dabi

The FS Fezile Dabi District meeting took place on Saturday, 27 Feb 2016 at Dr Reginald Cingo Comprehensive School in Kroonstad. Aim of district meetings:

• To drive engagements between young women, district municipalities, civil society organisations, media and other key stakeholders at district level with the ultimate goal of identifying collaborations and opportunities that can be exploited and utilised in overcoming challenges affecting young women.
• To create a platform to input on the “integrated development plan” that aims to co-ordinate the work of local and other spheres of government in a coherent plan to improve the quality of life for all the people (particularly young women) living in the district.

The 17 Rise Clubs was well represented by its members. Clubs were very active in group discussions and valued the opportunity to be part of the district meeting where they could share ideas and obstacles with other club members and stakeholders.
