Eugene is currently the Chief Financial Officer and an executive member of the Board of Directors of the Soul City Institute NPC.
Eugene Strydom is a South African Chartered Account with 18 years of experience in senior financial management, governance, procurement, contracts and administration in the NGO sector. He has successfully managed and/or overseen the financial aspects of several large national and international grants. Most notable of these is a DFID funded regional capacity building and Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) programme that spanned eight countries in Southern Africa with a budget equivalent to USD 34 million and the current Global Fund grant with a budget of USD 16.9 million. He has also managed several CDC PEPFAR cooperative agreements with a combined value of USD 25 million as well as grants funded by the South African Government, R170 million. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of WWF South Africa, the conservation organization.
