The site, situated in the Western Cape Province's West Coast District Municipality near Vredenburg incorporates communities of Louwville and surrounding small towns within the 50 kilometre radius where the Soul City Institute has partnered to deliver socio-economic development interventions.

On 27th November 2015, the CEO of Soul City Ms Lebo Ramafoko, the Chief Financial Officer Mr Eugene Strydom and Community Engagement Senior Manager Mr Paddy Nhlapo we special guests of Aurora Wind Power at the official Ribbon Cutting ceremony and formal launch of the West Coast One Wind Farm.

The invitation and presence of Soul City Institute in this event signified recognition and confidence in SCI by Aurora and its partners of its 21 year rich history of innovation and impact in social and behaviour change communication (SBCC), and our the ability and capacity to assist communities expand their breadth of knowledge and experience in order to address a variety of issues and challenges. Soul City Institute currently runs the PhuzaWise campaign and has begun a process of developing a long term Blue Print for socio-economic development with direct participation of the Greater Vredenburg-Louwville stakeholders and the communities.
