The event was held in conjunction with the Youth Zone Launch, which had the goal of establishing and strengthening Adolescent and Youth Care Clubs at the Clinic. The event also provided an opportunity for adolescents and young people to participate in focus group discussions about problems that are important to them, such as the accessibility of sexual reproductive health services in clinic settings.

Additionally, the celebration was graced by the presence of Benny Mayengani, a well-known Xitsonga musician who served as the day's motivational speaker. He stressed the need of delaying of young in the involvement in sexual activities and the importance of prioritizing education and making use of the services that are available to them in health-care settings.

A continuing sexual reproductive health project for adolescents and young people in Collins Chabane, as approved by the Deputy Minister of Health, is currently underway. The project will be officially launched in March 2022, according to the schedule.
