On August 16th, I had the incredible opportunity to lead a #LoveLifeChallenge alongside the passionate LoveLife Ground Breakers. This wasn’t just a game it was an interactive life lesson.
We took young people through a dynamic session that made them reflect on the power of their choices. Through roleplay, storytelling, and creative interaction, we explored how everyday decisions big or small can ripple into the future.
It wasn’t just about talking at them; it was about walking with them through what it means to make informed, positive life choices. They laughed, asked questions, opened up and left empowered.
But it didn’t stop there. I also facilitated a Born-Free Dialogue (BFD) a space for young people to open up about the things we often keep quiet:
Together, we unpacked these topics in a safe, non-judgmental space. We weren’t ticking boxes we were building trust, listening deeply, and planting seeds for real transformation. And let me tell you: the voices in that room were powerful. Raw. Brave. Ready to lead.
Being a FLAC Fellow at LoveLife has sharpened my facilitation skills, expanded my heart, and challenged me to be the kind of leader who lifts others as I rise. Every day, I learn something new about community work, feminism in action, and what it means to create impact from the ground up. LoveLife has taught me that empowering youth isn’t about giving answers it’s about building capacity, sparking curiosity, and holding space for truth.
I came into this fellowship with passion. I’m walking out with purpose. To every young person out there: your voice matters, your choices matter, and your future is yours to shape.
And to the Soul City Institute and LoveLife thank you for believing in the power of young feminist leadership. We’re just getting started.
