Founded in 2014 as an independent nonprofit organisation, Ambassadors for Change has become a beacon of hope in Mahikeng. The organisation is built on pillars of compassion, empowerment, community engagement, and integrity. These values are reflected in everything we do.
Since joining the organisation, I’ve been fortunate to explore several fields and gain hands-on experience. I've worked closely with social work professionals participating in counselling sessions, GBVF screenings, and community mobilising efforts. I’ve also contributed to event planning, administrative support, stakeholder engagement, and stepped in wherever an extra set of hands was needed.
Through this work, I’ve been able to strengthen one of my greatest tools: my voice. I now fully understand that being talkative is not a flaw it’s a gift. It allows me to connect with others, foster safe spaces, and help people begin their healing journey. Communication has become my superpower.
"It is never too late. Dreams delayed are not denied."
Life might not always unfold the way we plan, but trust that things are aligning in their own time. Keep going.
Take care of your mental health. Speak up. Seek help. Be gentle with yourself. Healing is possible, and you are not alone.
