The Soul City partner training organisations

Background:

Soul City developed a set of comprehensive HIV and AIDS learning materials which are aimed at adult learners working together in a group training situation. The package of materials is intended to be flexible enough to meet the needs of different kinds of learners (formal and informal) while providing key information about HIV and AIDS. While working on a plan to distribute and market the training materials it became clear that for the materials to be used optimally, they should be supported by a training programme. In order to implement a comprehensive training programme which is offered in all provinces of South Africa, Soul City developed partnerships with training organisations that have a track record of high quality training at grassroots level. There are 18 of these partnerships at the moment.
