Soul Buddyz Series 1
| Radio Soul Buddyz 1 Radio was a pilot
project as there was very little if any radio in South Africa for
children of this age ( 8-12 years) at the time of the project's
inception. Radio partnerships include SABC Educational Radio and the
Academy for Educational Development's Change Project in Washington DC
who are known for innovative communication work. We also have
partnerships with the BBC Learning Zone and the South African
non-governmental organisation -- ABC Ulwazi.
The radio consists of 26 thirty minute programmes with: 10 minutes drama with child protagonists, 10 minutes of documentary information inserts for both adults and children and 10 minutes interactive talk (a phone in show hosted by a young person). |

Soul Buddyz 1 was developed together
with three SABC regional radio stations - Motsweding, Umhlobo Wenene
and Thobela FM (include logos). The stations have been involved in
training and writing as well as in the production of the series.
