Advocacy Campaigns

Advocacy campaigns are developed to complement the Soul City and Soul Buddyz series to help create an enabling environment for social change around the issues dealt with in each series.

Soul City: IHDC has embarked on a number of advocacy campaigns with the following aims:

to ensure a comprehensive social security system for all children in South Africa
to ensure the speedy and effective implementation of the Domestic Violence Act
to promote road safety by advocating for legislation making it compulsory for reflector material to be incorporated into school uniforms and for scholar patrols to be active in all primary schools in South Africa;
